Why is the damage of the ozone layer a cause for concern? What steps ate being taken to limit this damage

as ozone layer protect the world from harmful uv rays of the sun .if it is damaged the uv rays enter into the earth and causes death of living organisms Luke plants and animals and in humans this uv rays causes skin cancer , cataract, and affects the embryo during pregnancy. to limit this damage we should reduce the use of CFC emitting products such as our fridge,airconditioners etc.
