Why is the demand curve of a firm under monopolistic competition more elastic than under monopoly? Explain?

in monopolistic firm the seller can varies the price due to the differentiation in the product and the other sellers are selling the close substitutes so the demand of this form is relatively more elastic than Monopoly as in Monopoly there is the single seller the demand of the product does not change simultaneously
