An official Census 2011 detail of Gadchiroli, a district of Maharashtra has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Maharashtra. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra.

In 2011, Gadchiroli had population of 1,072,942 of which male and female were 541,328 and 531,614 respectively. In 2001 census, Gadchiroli had a population of 970,294 of which males were 491,101 and remaining 479,193 were females. Gadchiroli District population constituted 0.95 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Gadchiroli District was at 1.00 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 10.58 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Gadchiroli District recorded increase of 23.29 percent to its population compared to 1991
