Why is the difference b/w the durations of day and night hardly felt at kanniyakumari but not so in kashmir ?

It is because Kanyakumari is near the equator and the difference is felt but Kashmir is away from the equator

It is because Kanyakumari is most southern region but kashmir is most northern region of India....
