why is the difference between the duration of day and night hardly felt at kannyakumari but not so in Kashmir give two reasons please

1)Kanyakumari is situated much close to the equator thann kashmir.
2)Kanyakumari is also in torrid zone meaning it will receive direct and parallel sunlight whereas kashmir is situated in tropical zone so it will receive slanting sunrays also the due to this reason the duration of days and nights varies in kashmir during winters and summmers.
