why is the difference between the length of day and night hardly any at kanyakumari but is more at Kashmir

Kashmir experience longer day than that of the night as it is a hilly area...

kanyakumari has longer time because of the placement and latitudes. Kashmir is colder because there is a lot of snowfall..
