why is the distribution of rainfall in india is unven? give four reason ( but short)

In India, the distribution of rainfall is quite uneven.
Most of the rainfall occurs from June to September from South-west monsoon.
Most of the country receive 80% of the rain in June to September....
Western Ghats and Eastern India receive more than 250 cm of annual rainfall, whereas the Northern plains and the Eastern Peninsula receive between 100-200 cm of rainfall.
Saurashtra Kutch region of Gujarat, parts of Punjab and Haryana and the western half of Rajasthan lie in the arid zones.
Hence the amount of rainfall is low and there is a constant scarcity of water.
This inadequency of rainfall has to be met by irrigation.....
