because endosperm is a result of the fusion of 2 polar nuclei which together form a diploid secondary polar nuclei with one of the male gamete that enters into the embryo sac

Answer:

During the formation of the endosperm of angiosperms, double fertilization occurs. this is the main reason for the endosperm to be triploid.

Explanation:

in this process one haploid sperm from  the two enters in the embryo sac and then fuse with the the two polar nuclei in which each nuclei is haploid. Therefore, endosperms are triploid in case of angiosperms.
