Why is the flow of signals in a synapse from axon endof one neuron to dendritic end of another neuron but not the reverse?

Answer: Transmitters are present on the axon ends (which release chemical transmission substances like ac-choline etc) and detectors only on the dendrites generally, so back conduction of signals generally doesn't take place in the system.
