why is the forest cover is vanishing rapidly? what is needed to solve it?

As the population is growing rapidly, people need more space to build homes, and agriculture, so forest are cleaned out to get that land. With the growing population other needs of furniture, medicine, machinary etc are also increasing and they all require wood.
