the Arctic Circle is located at a latitude of 66°33'44” north of the Equator. ... The coldest places on Earth tend to be located near the poles. Polar regions do not receive direct sunlight during the winter months due to the tilt in the Earth's axis. Hence, polar regions can get very cold.

Frigid Zone is the uppermost and the lowermost zone of the Earth which include the Northern and the Southern Pole . As the Rays of the sun fall slant on it with the shorter reach of light the area gets cold .
Thus Frigid Zone is the coldest zone of Earth .
