why is the great siberian plains marshy in winter ​

Great Siberian are marshy in winter because the starting points of rivers are present in warmer latitudes whereas the mouth of river are present at higher or warmer latitudes . So in winter when the mouth of river is freezed but upper part of river is not freezed so water get splitted and get marshy
