Seeds should be sown at proper depth so that they can get air, water and later on sunlight for development. Also their roots may develop at proper depth to hold plant.

When seeds are sown at the proper depth, the plant's root system forms right at the soil's surface, The seed should be planted about 2-3 inches deep in the soil. Perfect depth promotes plant growth and provides adequate nutrients.
