why is the indian consturution accepted by people even today

Because the constitution of India is what gives you the rights that you are enjoying at the current point of time. The fact that it was written 67 years ago does not degrade its value by even 1%. The constituent assembly has worked hard on it in a systematic, open and consensual manner. It not only reflects the minds of the constitution makers but reflects the broad census of its time. The provisions mentioned in the constitution are ambiguous so that even after many years it wont lose its importance and purpose.
