EARTH'S INNER CORE :

  1. The inner most layer of the earth is called the earth's inner core.
  2. The layer before the core is mantle which is hot liquid but the inner core is solid .
  3. This is because there is a lot of pressure towards the earth core due to this pressure the inner is not melting although there too higher temperature
  4. It turns out that many materials can be a solid at a higher temperature if the pressure is also higher. So, even though it is hotter in the inner core, the pressure in the core is also higher, and you can have solid iron-nickel instead of liquid.
