Since the main idea of a "factory" is production, the actual "cooking" or preparation of vital nutrients for the plant happens in the leaf . Leaf prepare food from atmospheric carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight. Chlorophyll also needed for this process.After photosynthesis leaf emit oxygen through stomata to the atmosphere.
Because of this leaf is considered as “food factory”.
