Why is the lens in the human eye convex and not any other?

It can't be concave because it has converging effect

then behind it is the eyes lens which is a convex lens .which is due to the supports of of ciliary muscles that the eye lens is held in position.the eye lens is flexibles and thus can change its focal length and shape with the help of ciliary muscles behind the eye lens is the retina on which the image is formed in the eye
