I deeply like and appreciate Rajasthi miniature art due to the following reasons:
- Colour composition: Rajasthani art has bright and glowing colours. Primary, secondary and metallic colours enhance the painting. The lines are rythmic, graceful and powerful.
- Pure Indian Art: It is based on Hindu literature, music, poetry, religion, raagmalas, etc. It is not influenced by any other art form and holds its authenticity.
- Human Figures: Garments of the male and female figures are highly decorated. Women have been beautifully depicted in ornaments.
- Example: My favourite piece of art from the Rajasthani School is Bani Thani of Kishangarh School. The sharp lines of the painting are appealing to a great extend. It is called the Indian Mona Lisa.
