Why is the magnetic field radial in moving coil galvanometer.Explain how it is achieved?

A radial field is selected so that that surface area is parallel to the magnetic field . Hence the area vector will be perpendicular to the magnetic field and torque acting on the galvanometer coil will be maximum for all orientations
