The mauryan principles were directly taken from Nanda principles and few changes were made.. Prime Minister Rakshasa who was a peime minister to Nanda was also made the prime minister to Chandra Gupta Maurya. Mauryan Empire was the first well known empire of the Indian subcontinent, not India.
