mirror always shows the reflection of the people who see in it
It is not biased and does not have opinions but only shows what is true
The lady becomes insecure of herself and find her upper beauty to be ugly and blames the mirror for showing such images. There no day where she cannot look into the mirror. This mirror becomes both important and is rewarded with anguish and agitation

The mirror is important to the woman in the poem as she looks into the mirror for her lost young ,beautiful looks that has vanished with Time.
As she is not able to accept the reality she rewards the mirror with agitation of hands and cries.
