Answer- In Indian History, historians divided it into ancient, medieval and modern. But this division had its own problems too. Modern period is a periodisation that is borrowed from West where the modern period was associated with the growth of all forces of modernity- science, reason, democracy, liberty and equality. And yes, this modern period is associated with all the above factors in India. It can be regarded as a period of economic growth and progress where all have freedom, equality and liberty.------------------
