why is the moon not visible on amavasya
Answers
Answer: as we know earth and moon both rotate as well as revolve
During revolution the sun moon and Earth all three come in a same line . At this stage the sunlight will not reach the moon because the earth is in between sun and moon , as we know moon does not have its own light and depend upon Sun for light in this case as it does not receive sunlight from the sun because Earth is between moon and sun hence at amavasya we cannot see moon as it is not have light receiving from Sun.
