If a particle is moving in a circle then it can't haveconstant velocity. And if you are talking aboutconstant speed, then this case is called uniform circular motion. Now an acceleration towards center know as centripetal acceleration will act on body ,so that it can continue it's motion in circle.

Velocity is vector quantity......hence in circular motion as the direction changes constantly, acceleration also changes as. acceleration =change in velocity upon time:)
