Fishes and frogs produces a large number of eggs than that of a hen. The reason are as follows-

• in fishes and frogs, external fertilisation occur.

• the female one lays a large number of eggs. The male one produces semen and eject them into the eggs.

• the fertilisation occur in by chance phenomenon because a lot number of eggs can be carried away or can be destroyed by predators.
