The outer coat of penguin in antarctica is black because antarctica is a very cold place and black colour traps the heat and not let go...
So, it keeps the penguin warm...

Penguins are hot blooded animals which live in the harsh regions of Antarctica. Black color absorbs most of heat.Black outer coat on the penguins make them feel warm in harsh climate.
