Why is the percentage of oxygen in exhaled air less than that in inhaled air?

because in atmosphere have different gases like nitrogen, co2 etc.... so exhaled air have less oxgyen.

out side air has many gases but when we inhaled the oxygen is taken and some is exhaled. so we find oxygen less in exhaled air than inhaled sir.
