Hydrogen element has been placed at Tha top of group 1. Because the electronic configuration of hydrogen is similar to alkali metals. Both, hydrogen as well as alkali metal have 1 valence electrons

Hydrogen relates both alkali elements and halogens. It can dissipate one electron like alkali elements and competent of acquiring one electron such as halogens. Like halogens, it provides a diatomic particle and condenses with elements and non-metals to produce covalent composites. Therefore, the circumstances authorized to hydrogen in the periodic table is assumed unusual.
