Some rainfall during the monsoon season in India is not as a consequence of the monsoon winds that come from the Indian Ocean ,though its around the same time.Due to some pressure developments in the Bay of Bengal thunderstorms occur in the southern part of India . The pre monsoon showers are a consequence of these thunder-storms.
These showers not only cause the early ripening of the mangoes but also prevents the amateur mango buds from falling down by controlling wind.
Due to these reasons these showers are also known as mango showers.
