Why is the process of 'reuse' of materials even better than 'recycling'?

Recycling process uses much energy. it requires energy and some of this energy is lost during this process. reuse does not require any energy. so reuse is better than recycling.

reusing doesn't require any type of energy but in the case of recycling , there is a need for energy . so, reuse is getting an edge over recycle !
