heya ☺☺

I think due to lack of oxygen in water .because water are made up of 2 hydrogen molecules and 1 oxygen molecules due to this an aquatic organism don't find sufficient oxygen..so aquatic organism's take much faster breathing than territory .organism..

hope it help you.

aquatic animals take in the oxygen dissolved in water. The amount of dissolved oxygen in water is fairly low compared to the amount of ooxygen in the air . Therefore , rate of breathing in aquatic organisms is much faster in terrestrial organisms.
