=> The terrestrial organisms can directly inhale the oxygen from surroundings.

=> the aquatic organisms on the other hand have got to take the diffused oxygen in water.

=> for which they have gills.

=> hence their breathing rate is much higher as they can't get sufficient oxygen at slow rate.


example- tuna, shark etc.
