Tin is very low in the reactivity series, so it's reaction with HCL is slower

Baking powder and soda are the same thing (NaHCO3) as far as I know. Baking soda is the old name.

Baking powder is a mixture of baking soda and some other acidity regulators such as tartaric acid, etc. Although I'm too not very much clear about the difference. Delete the answer which has been reported, someone else may wish to answer this.
