It's most common because the most countries use it. It's a mash up of democracy and aristocracy, trying to get the benefits of both. Aristocracy is good because the people in power supposedly are well learned in the studies and practices of government, making them experts.

Answer:

The most common form of democracy is that of a representative democracy.

Explanation:

In a democracy all people do not rule. A majority takes decisions on behalf of all the people. However, the majority of people rule through their elected representatives. It is necessary because:-

• in modern democracies it is not possible for large number of people to physically sit and take collective decision.

• even if it is possible to sit together, the common people do not have the time and desire to take part in all the decisions.

Hope the answer will help you.
