At equator places receive rainfall daily this adds water to other water bodies thus making it less saline.
Glacial waters will have even lesser salinity because of lesser evaporation and continual accumulation of freshwater from melting icebergs.
Equatorial waters have lower than regular salinity because of heavy rainfall and high relative humidity, as rainfall adds good amount of freshwater to the oceanic water.
