The sea water is not actually blue but as the white light that is the sunlight enters the transparent water it disperses into seven colors. As we know that the light of blue color out of all the other colors has the shortest wavelength thus it gets scattered the most. Thus the sea water appears to us to be blue due to the phenomenon and principle of dispersion scattering and hydrolitic refraction.
