Why is the series arrangement not used for domestic circuits​

In this arrangement, if any one of the component stops working,then the circuit gets broken up and none of the device will work.

All the appliances have only one switch due to which they cannot be turned on or off separately.

The appliances do not get the same voltage (220V) as that of the power supply line.

Series arrangement is not used for domestic circuits due to following reasons : ... (2) Total resistance of domestic circuit will be sum of the resistance of all appliances and hence current drawn by the circuit will be less. (3) We cannot use independent on/off switches with individual appliances.
