Why is the shadow of a bird flying high in the sky not seen on the earth? Because the sun is wide enough that the light from it can pass around the sides of the bird. ... The bird is too small to completely block the sun, so there will still be light hitting the ground where theshadow would be.

The birds fly at a high altitude its not like it doesn't get formed we cant see where it forms. If you get what i want to say, a bird flying at a low distance in presence of light can be seen in its shadow.
