Answer:

Blue light is scattered in all directions by the tiny molecules of air in Earth's atmosphere. Blue is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter, smaller waves. This is why we see a blue sky most of the time

The blue colour of sky is due to scattering of sunlight by the molecules of the atmosphere. According to Rayleigh's law of scattering ,the intensity of scattered light ,I ∝ 1/λ^4 , blue colour having the shortest wavelength in the visible spectrum scatter the most . When we look at the sky, the scattered light enters our eyes and this light contains blue colour in a large proportion , so the sky appears blue.
