as it absorbs and digests the nutrients and water present in food using bile juice from liver, pancreatic juice from pancreas and digestive juices produced in itself

because absorption of water and nutrients from food takes place in small intestine and all the digestive juices such as- pancreatic juice , etc mixed with food in small intestine .
