Population composition is the description of a population according to characteristics such as age and sex. These data are often compared over time using population pyramids.
For example, Canada's white population is aging, with an average age of roughly 40.

Population distribution means the pattern of where people live. World population distribution is uneven. Places which are sparsely populated contain few people. Places which are densely populated contain many people. Sparsely populated places tend to be difficult places to live.

Eg. Areas of low density (less than 10 people per km2). Examples include Sahara Desert and Canada
