The sun sends more energy to the earth in one hourthan the whole planet needs in a year. Imagine if we could capture that energy directly and convert it to a form that could power our cities, homes, and cars! Many scientists around the world are researching how we can improve our use of the sun’s energy. One way is to use solar thermal panels to collect thermal energy to heat air and water. Another way is to use photovoltaic (PV) cells, also called solar cells, to convert sunlight directly into electricity (‘photovoltaic’ essentially means ‘light electricity’).

Sun is known as the ultimate source of energy because due to the sun light, plants can do photosynthesis. These green plants are eaten by Primary Consumers or even by Humans in the form of fruits and vegetables. These Primary Consumers are eaten up by Secondary Consumer. These Primary and Secondary Consumers after death, are the food source for Scavengers like vultures.
So, the energy of the sun from sunlight is consumed by every organism in one or the other way.
