plants capture the solar energy from the sun through the leaves... to prepare food or to synthesise food sunlight is necessary.. and without food we can't survive... that's why the sun is great.. the sun helps to prepare food in photosynthesis.. and by photosynthesis we get food.. therefore sun is also called the ultimate source of energy.....
