When we see the Sun at sunrise or sunset, when it is low in the sky, it may appear yellow, orange, or red. But that is only because its short-wavelength colors (green, blue, violet) are scattered out by the Earth's atmosphere, much like small waves are dispersed by big rocks along the shore.thats why it seems to be yellow

Hello dear...
◆First of all the colour of an object is due to the wavelength of light that it reflects back. This wavelength enters our eye and our brain interprets that the object is of that colour.
For eg. when you see a leaf, it is generally green in colour. But actually, leaves absorb all the colour components of light except green which is reflected back.
◆Similary in the case of sun, due to the fission reactions taking place in the sun continuously (and may be some other factors) and also due to the changes in the refractive index of atmosphere of earth, it probably appears yellow, orange or red.
◆One more reason is that, red, yellow and orange lights are not easily scattered. So while covering such a large distance (from sun to earth) most of the colour components gets scattered except red , yellow and orange.
THIS IS THE MAIN REASON WHY SUN APPEARS REDDISH OR YELLOWISH.
HOPE IT HELPS..... :-)

As a child, you almost certainly drew the Sun in the shape of a face on your notebook, and invariably, the color of the Sun’s face would have been yellow
