The Supreme Court is called the guardian of the Constitution because if any person who feels that his/her rights are violated or infringed, they can directly go to the Supreme Court and appeal for it.

Because in other cases, you have to lower courts first, then at last the case goes to Supreme Court.

But in case of violation of our rights or anything regarding the Constitution, the appeal can be through direct method.

This is also called the Original Jurisdiction of Supreme Court.
