why is the temperature of ladakh very low?

The temperature of ladakh is very low because of low pressure where air expands and rises which causes it to cool.As ladakh is situated at higher altitudes and the air present at higher altitude is cold .
Temperature of Ladakh remains in minus for about 3 months from December to February.
Ladakh is a cold desert with very low  temperatures.
