Even though both lands and oceans receive same amount of heat, seas are cooler than lands because

Explanation:

  • The surface water of the oceans continuously get evaporated and cools down the sir above the area.
  • While on land, the heat is absorbed and the heat that land dissipates is less than that it absorbs.
  • So, the temperature of oceans is comparatively less than the earth

The temperature on land different from that of oceans even through both receive the same amount of heat is due to sea breeze and absorption rate of land.

Explanation:

There are two reasons:

  • Sea breeze - the warm air from Oceans travel towards land and this happens in summer and spring season. And this due to high temperature difference between land and sea.
  • The heat absorbing capacity of land is more than the heat absorbing capacity of ocean (water) which leads to high temperature above land.
