Rajasthan is an arid area with annual rainfall less than 75 cm....This Rainfall does not support the dense forests....

The loss of moisture also due to high transpiration as the region has high temperature....Trees I have needled shaped leaves to prevent the loss of moisture....

(i) Rajasthan is an arid area which receive less than 70-80cms of rainfall annually and rainfall does not support dense forests so scarce and thorny type of vegetation is found.

(ii)This region has less rain and high temperature thus loss of moisture takes place (due to transpiration) .Trees and plants that grow hear have needle shaped thorns to prevent loss of moisture, eg- Cactus .
