Aloha protocol provides data transmission among the computers in Hawaiian Islands by using radio transmissions. It is of two types namely 1) Pure Aloha, 2) Slotted Aloha. Pure Aloha is an entirely decentralized, unslotted protocol. It can be implemented easily.  

On the other hand, slotted aloha is somewhat similar to pure aloha, but differs in the way of transmission took place. Here the collisions are reduced by a huge margin. Thus the performance of slotted is better than pure aloha.
