why is the tungsten used almost exclusively for filament of electric lamp.

tungsten is an have melting and boiling.it has good conductor of heat

Because the melting point of the tungsten wire is extremely higher than other normal wires, so it can not melt easily during the flow of current in the electric lamp or bulb.
